Fall Semester Figure Paintings

Forgot to upload these earlier, but here's a few of the figure paintings I did for Pratt's class.  Most of them sat for about 20 minutes, so not very long as far as most poses go.

Playing with ground after seeing some of Pratt's work as a student.

Aaaaand some of the "Academy Style" drawings from the beginning of the year:

Best of Junior Year

I kept myself particularly busy this past summer, especially since I went back to TAing for the Continuing Studies program - only this time around it was PreCollege.  Wow.  I remember going to PreCollege four years ago...geez I'm getting old!  Anyway, you can check out some of the work from the summer and during PreCollege here.

I'm actually liking my work a lot more this semester, so I plan to upload images more frequently, and post more content.  It feels like these past two years have been me trying, and more often than naught, falling on my face.  It's still not quite there, but I know something in my mind is trying to click.  I can honestly say I'm really looking forward to next semester.

All Illustration, All the Time:

This one got into Illest of Ill, 2011 - suddenly, me being at Ringling feels validated, haha.

Alternate/final version of above.

Sketches from this past semester can be found here.

Best of Sophomore Year

So I wound up acting as a Teacher's Assistant over the summer.  You can see the sketches I made during that time here.  As always, work is arranged chronologically from oldest to newest by class.

Best of Freshman Work

Listed in chronological order.   All of these are from first semester.  Unfortunately I can't say I was too keen on anything I produced second semester.

Parson's Portfolio Submission Back-Up - QuestBridge Scholarship

My name is Arianna Kathryn Westerfield. I am a senior at Pine View School in Osprey, Florida. I am a finalist for the QuestBridge College Match program, and applied to Parsons the New School for Design through said program. Although I submitted my portfolio via CD-R in the mail, I am posting my portfolio here as a back-up, in case something goes wrong while the CD-R is in-transite. The following images are for my portfolio:
